Bitumen Emulsions

Bitumen Emulsion is a type of bitumen where bitumen particles are suspended in water and stabilized with emulsifying agents. These bitumens can be used at low temperatures, are environmentally friendly, and are widely used in road construction projects, surface dressings, and road maintenance for the following purposes:

  • Adhesion between asphalt layers
  • Surface and protective road dressings
  • Prime coat and seal coat in civil projects
  • Cold mix asphalt and soil stabilization

Types of Bitumen Emulsions based on Setting Speed

Rapid Setting

For surface dressings and rapid patching

Medium Setting

For cold mix asphalt and soil stabilization

Slow Setting

For prime coat, seal coat, and surface penetration
